New Names

So, we think we've got new names for our kids. Drum role please......

The older brother..... Ethan (means 'Firm/Strong')
The younger brother...... Alex (means 'Protector of Mankind')

FYI-
This had no influence on our decision, but it's kinda funny. So, the two times we've been in KZ (2003, and now) - we've been here during the opening of the last two Terminator movies (3 & 4). So Dave is convinced that our kids will somehow fight off Skynet and the rest of the machines in the future. Their new names are fitting..... :)

Nice one Dave! I'm so happy for the 2 of you and can't wait to hear more family stories. By the way tomorrow is 31cent night at Baskin Robbins..think you could get back here in time..to go after bible study ? :-)

Oh your story is amazing! We are so excited for you all. Those boys, or should I say Ethan and Alex are very blessed boys!
BUT three boys in the house? You are going to need to get a female pet!

I am really excited for you two.
Those are great names. What are the boys names now? Have you thought about keeping their names or Anglicizing them a bit (if you prefer)? We changed Brian's middle name when we adopted him at age five. At age ten he added his original middle and last name back in and now he has three middle names. We haven't made the change legally but that is how he signs his name now as he is coming up on 13. I think he likes his association with his birth culture and family even though his parents abandoned him. And he is now getting to where he is very anxious to relearn his birth tongue. I hope you are able to keep up with the boys Russian speaking so that they become bilingual. It is not uncommon for adopted kids to want to have some connection with their birth culture. Quite common in my research. Sometimes it doesn't manifest until later. I am sure you are getting lots of advice, probably more than you want, but I thought I would throw my two cents in.
